§ Mr. BeggsTo ask the Attorney-General if he will publish details of the steps to be followed where relatives wish to have a mentally handicapped person returned wholly to the care of his relatives from the Office of Care and Protection.
§ The Attorney-GeneralPart VIII of he Mental Health (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 provides that where a person is found to be incapable, by reason of mental 257W disorder, of managing and administering his property and affairs the High Court may exercise general powers and make specific orders in respect of such a person's property and affairs. Such a person is referred to as a patient. A patient may be restored to management of his own affairs where the court is satisfied that the patient has become capable of managing and administering his property and affairs.
