To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will provide a breakdown by nationalities of people currently held under section 12 or section 13 of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984, or articles 4 or 9 of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Order 1984;

(2) if he will provide a breakdown by nationalities of people currently held under section 12 or section 13 of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984, or articles 4 or 9 of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Order 1984.

On 23 February 1988 no one was detained in Great Britain under the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984 or the Prevention of Terrorism (Supplemental Temporary Provisions) Order 1984. Examinations at ports under article 4 of the order are recorded only where a person is examined for more than one hour. On 23 February 1988 no one was examined for more than one hour.
