To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for Worsley of 5 February,Official Report, columns 777–78, what information he has as to the names of companies and individuals operating value added services under the class licence granted on 30 April 1987.

[holding answer 23 February 1988]: Only limited categories of licensees operating under the class licence are required to register with the Office of Telecommunications. Their names are maintained on a list available from the Oftel library. No information is available on other operators under the licence.
