§ Mr. PortilloNo specific provision exists in the supplementary benefit scheme to help with the cost of travel to register a death. However, provision did exist in supplementary benefit single payments to help claimants to meet the cost of travelling to arrange a funeral. Such help continues to be available under the social fund funeral payment arrangements which replaced the single payments provision in April 1987.
