§ Mr. Ralph HowellTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Norfolk, North of 22 July 1987,Official Report, column 236, if he will update the details of (a) the total agricultural support for the European Economic Community, (b) overall European Economic Community expenditure and (c) total European Economic Community agricultural exports, to the latest date for which information is now available.
§ Mr. MacGregorFinal outturn figures for 1987 are not yet available. Budget provision for expenditure on market support and structural measures under the common agricultural policy was 24,101 mecu (£16,854 million); in addition some 4,512 mecu (£3,155 million) of expenditure on agricultural market support in November and December 1987 could not be met from the 1987 budget and will fall on the 1988 budget.
The total Community budget for 1987 including agriculture (but excluding the carry over) was 36,168 mecu (£25,292 million) compared to 34,219 mecu (£22,169 million) outturn in 1986.
Details of the value of agricultural exports from the Community in 1987 are not yet available.
