To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what progress has been made in providing additional continence nursing advisers; what

in 1986 was 15,527 of which 5,006 were judged serious. Of the latter, the duration of the reaction was known for 2,039 and of these only 144 exceeded three months. There is no reliable estimate of the number of people who take drugs for a medicinal purpose in a year although it must represent a significant proportion of the population if both prescription and non-prescription drugs are included.
