§ Mr. DunnThe Education (No. 2) Act 1986 provides for school governing bodies to comprise representatives of parents, teachers, the local authority, the foundation in the case of voluntary schools and, by co-option, the community served by the school. In making their co-options, governing bodies will be able to secure such representation of other interests as is considered appropriate in the light of the school's circumstances.
