To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what was the proportion of the United Kingdom's gross national product devoted to overseas development in 1960 and for the latest annual period for which figures are available.

The proportion of the United Kingdom's gross national product devoted to overseas development in 1960 was 0.56 per cent. In 1986 it was 0.32 per cent.
