HC Deb 19 February 1988 vol 127 c780W
Mr. Amos

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services on what basis he has come to the conclusion that the wish of some individuals not to have details of their employment made publicly available should be respected in the case of doctors carrying out abortions in the private sector.

Mr. Newton

It seems to me to be entirely reasonable not to publicise details of an individual's employment in this or any other field without that individual's consent. My hon. Friend is of course free to approach individual approved places direct to inquire about the doctors who operate at those places.
