§ Mr. LangThe Government's policies to keep inflation down, to stimulate enterprise, to restore competitiveness to industry and to establish a strong private sector have resulted in a significant fall in the unemployment levels in north Angus, as over Scotland as a whole, during the past year.
In north Angus, as throughout Scotland, the full range of Government training and employment programmes, including a rural job club, are continuing to assist the unemployed to find jobs and to start new businesses; and both indigenous and incoming firms benefit from the range of Government assistance to help industry create and improve job opportunities.
