To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what assessment he has made of the implications for economic stability of the growth in domestic demand since the stock market crash.

The United Kingdom economy remains strong despite the stock market fall. My right hon. Friend the Chancellor will be publishing a new forecast at the time of the Budget.
