To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received about the Government's policy towards houses in multiple occupation.

My hon. Friend the Minister for Housing and Planning met a delegation from the Campaign for Bedsit Rights last December. Some representations have also been made to the Department, and to our environmental health adviser in the course of his visits to local authorities.
