§ Mr. TrippierLondon Docklands DC and Merseyside DC, which were both set up in 1981, have had a major impact on their areas. Information is contained in their annual reports, copies of which are laid before the House. The four English urban development corporations set up in 1987 have embarked on initial projects and have generated considerable interest in their areas.

§ Mr. TrippierMy right hon. Friend announced on 7 December his intention to set up further urban development corporations. No decisions have been taken on financial allocations.
