To ask the Secretary of State for Defence in what circumstances a section of a Trident submarine broke free from its transporting ship in the Irish sea on Friday 5 February; what is the estimated value of the section lost; whether it is intended to attempt to recover it; what warnings are being issued to fishing and other vessels in the area; what are the defence implications; and if he will make a statement.
