§ Mrs. RumboldThe Department issued a circular to all maintained schools in England in September 1987 giving guidance on sex education at school. The circular made clear that sex education should be given in a factual and balanced manner and in accordance with section 46 of the Education (No. 2) Act 1986. There are no plans at present for any further guidance to be issued.
