§ Mrs. RumboldSince publication of the Government's proposals for a national curriculum my right hon. Friend and I have had meetings with representatives of the Church of England Board of Education, the Roman Catholic Bishops' Conference, the Religious Education Council, and with the Bishop of Newcastle. Discussion at all these meetings covered religious instruction in schools.
