To ask the Secretary of State for Energy when he intends to meet the chairman of the Central Electricity Generating Board to discuss the refurbishment of north-east power stations; and if he will make a statement.

I meet the chairman of the Central Electricity Generating Board regularly to discuss a range of issues. The refurbishment of power stations is a matter for the board.
