To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his intention regarding implementing the proposals outlined in the discussion Paper "Water and Sewerage Law" chapter 1, paragraphs 1.25 to paragraphs 1.41, published by his Department.

Final decisions have still to be taken on the proposals in the consultation paper. An announcement will be made as soon as possible.
