§ Mrs. RoeThe consultation paper on home improvement policy, published last November, included a proposal that age limits for improvement grants might be replaced by more flexible arrangements which would allow local authorities to make grants for all but the most recently built properties. We are currently considering the comments received with a view to reforming the improvement grant legislation at the next suitable opportunity.
