To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if, in the light of the Civil Aviation Authority's statement in a press release dated 8 February about increased pressure on the air traffic control system, he will make it his policy not to approve any increase in the use of Heathrow airport; and if he will make a statement.

No. The Civil Aviation Authority, which has responsibility for air traffic control at Heathrow airport, has not recommended against increased use of Heathrow airport.
