To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many cases of alleged discrimination have come before the courts in the last five years; and what was the decision on each case, listing the organisations involved.

Twenty-one appeals against findings by the Fair Employment Agency, concerning discrimination on grounds of religious or political belief under the Fair Employment (Northern Ireland) Act 1976, have come before the courts in Northern Ireland within the five years ending 31 January 1988. These are as follows, together with the decision where known. The decision in every case cannot be obtained without disproportionate effort and cost.
