§ Mr. BoswellTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services in what circumstances an individual ambulance authority raises charges from another authority for mutual assistance or services; and whether the financing of such mutual services is balanced.
§ Mrs. Currie[holding answer 11 February 1988]: It is for the regional health authority to agree the circumstances in which such changes should be raised. Where the boundaries of an area served by a particular ambulance authority are not conterminous with regional health authority boundaries, an appropriate adjustment is made to the resource allocation targets of the health authorities concerned.
