To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what was the level of output in the electronic capital goods sector in 1986 and in 1980; and what was the level of exports in the industry over the same period.

United Kingdom manufacturers' sales of radio and electronic capital goods amounted to £3 billion in 1986 and £1.6 billion in 1980. The industry's exports came to £1.2 billion in 1986 and £500 million in 1980.
