§ Mr. Ian StewartResponsibility within the Ministry of Defence for nuclear arms control matters falls initially on the defence arms control unit. Within this unit, two people are engaged full time on nuclear arms control. A great many others, in various parts of the Ministry, contribute to relevant research and to the formulation of policy as an important part of their duties.
