To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is now in a position to determine the appeal by the Southend community health council against the decision of the North-East Thames regional health authority on the future of the radiotherapy unit at Southend general hospital; and if he will make a statement.

104. Dr. Michael Clark

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement about the future of the cancer treatment unit and radiotherapy department at Southend hospital.
