Mr. Hume

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many claims were made for mobility allowance in each of the last three years; and how many appealed to(a) a medical board, (b) a medical appeal tribunal, (c) a social security appeal tribunal, (d) the commissioner and (e) a court, indicating the number of allowances granted at each stage.

The information available is given in the table. The figures provided relate to decisions given on claims and appeals in the relevant years not to the outcome of the claims and appeals made in those years.
