Road Costs (Hansard, 8 February 1988)

§ Mr. Mudd
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list all the motorway and trunk road contracts in England with a works cost of £1 million or more which his Department intends to award in 1988–89 showing, in each case, the total value of the contract and the expenditure likely to be incurred in that year.

§ Mr. Peter Bottomley
The table lists schemes which we plan to start in 1988–89. The list is provisional and currently under review. Actual starts 1988–89 may differ from this list as progress is dependent on outstanding statutory procedures and other factors. Other schemes not on the list may start in 1988–89 if progress with statutory procedures is faster than currently expected.
