Earl FerrersA draft order was laid on 25th January under Section 14(10) of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984. If the draft order is approved by Parliament, the Act will continue in force for a further 12 months. My right honourable friend has received the report from the noble Viscount, Lord Colville of Culross, on the operation of the Act in 1987 and copies have been placed in the Library. The report is supplementary to his review of the Act as a whole, publication of which was announced to the House on 9th December at col. 301–2.
