HC Deb 08 February 1988 vol 127 c81W
Mr. Foulkes

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what representations he has received about army vehicles driving on public highways after dark without lights; and what steps are taken to warn other road users when this occurs.

Mr. Freeman

No representations have been received about army vehicles driving on public highways after dark without lights. It is against regulations for army vehicles to use the public highway after dark unless in exceptional circumstances a special exemption has been secured; no such exemptions have been sought in recent years.
