§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThere were 189 applicants for the extra 125 multilateral permits. Hauliers based in England obtained 107, in Scotland three, in Wales four and in Northern Ireland eleven. These were additional to the United Kingdom's 1987 quota of 902 permits.
