§ Mr. ParkinsonItem 69 of the programme of action to achieve equality of opportunity for women states that no form of sexual harassment at work will be tolerated in the Civil Service. The programme of action was published by the Cabinet Office (MPO) in 1984.
Guidance has already been issued to all Department of Energy staff that the display of sexually offensive material in the office amounts to sexual harassment, and that such behaviour is not acceptable.
