Mr. O'NeillTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence (1) whether all Royal Naval helicopters currently on deployment in the Gulf are equipped with passive decoys against Stinger missiles; and if he will make a statement;
(2) whether all Royal Naval helicopters currently on deployment in the Gulf have armaments capable of destroying Boghammer raiding craft; and if he will make a statement;
(3) whether Sea Skua is capable of destroying Boghammer raiding craft; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Ian StewartRoyal Navy helicopters serving with the patrol are provided with equipment relevant to the range of threats they face in carrying out their operational tasks. It would not be in the interests of the safety of our helicopters and their crews to define the specific capabilities of individual aircraft.
