§ Mr. MoynihanA performance bonus scheme for water authority chairmen and executive board members was introduced in 1986–87 to provide a financial incentive for the participants to achieve exceptional corporate results in relation to targets agreed with Government. Bonuses from 5 to 15 per cent. were paid for meeting or exceeding the authorities' agreed performance aims. I will be considering what form the scheme should take in 1988–89.
