§ Mr. CummingsTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will list the number, name and location of private nursing homes in the northern region which have received regional selective assistance or regional development grant over the last five years, together with the amount of grant payable in each case and the date upon which payment was made.
§ Mr. AtkinsPrivate nursing homes do not qualify for regional development grant. There were five offers of regional selective assistance in the northern region —Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, Durham, Cleveland and Cumbria in the five years to 31 December 1987. Details of offers made are as follows:
