§ Mr. DykesTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he intends to have further early discussions with equivalent Ministers in the European Economic Community Council of Trade and Industry Ministers' Committee about harmonising origin marks, brand name designation, and trade marks policy in the Community.
§ Mr. Alan ClarkThe Council of Ministers (Internal Market) discussed trade marks both in December and most recently on 2 February. Some outstanding technical problems need more consideration. I expect colleagues to be involved in further policy discussions with Community colleagues on this subject.
