To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what research his Department is conducting into the extent to which less intensive farming methods will reduce food production.

My Department is conducting and funding a wide range of research and developments on less intensive farming methods which may help farmers maintain a reasonable income whilst reducing their output of crops in surplus.
