HC Deb 03 February 1988 vol 126 cc649-50W
Mr. Anthony Coombs

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many outstanding right-to-buy applications there are at present in Lambeth, Ealing, Tower Hamlets and Westminster; and what proportion of these have been outstanding for more than one year.

Mrs. Roe

At the end of November 1987, some 4,882 right-to-buy applications were being dealt with by Tower Hamlets borough council. It is not known how long each application had been outstanding. Regular statistics on the handling of applications by the other councils are not collected because their right-to-buy performance is not formally monitored by the Department.
