§ Mr. Donald ThompsonMy Department's contingency plans for dealing with emergency contamination of food or agriculture involving the powers provided in part I of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 are in process of revision following the development of the national response plan announced by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister on 30 June 1987 at columns65–67 and in the light of our experience of operating the plans during the post-Chernobyl period. I will place a copy of the revised plans in the Library of the House when the revision is complete and I will let the hon. Member know when I have done so.
