HC Deb 01 February 1988 vol 126 c489W
Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in the light of the recent release of papers, he will review previous ministerial statements to the effect that there is no evidence that anyone in the United Kingdom has died as a result of polonium and other radiactive isotopes released into the atmosphere during the Windscale fire of 1957.

Mrs. Currie

All relevant information relating to the health consequences of the Windscale fire was available to Government at the time of my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister's statement on 18 April 1983, at column12.
