§ Mr. Chris PattenIn December 1987 we pledged £10 million as quick-disbursing balance of payments support for spending this year. During my recent visit to Sudan I announced a new £15 million grant for rehabilitation projects for spending up to 1991. This will be used principally for projects in the agricultural and transport sectors. In addition, we continue to provide assistance to the power, education and fisheries sectors.
