Mr. Madden

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if Royal Ulster Constabulary officers, the subject of allegations made by Mr. Chan Hok-Chun and Mr. Hui Yat-Chi, continue to be suspended from duty; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Stanley

The question of suspension of a police officer is a matter for the Chief Constable of the RUC. But I understand one officer continues to be suspended from duty.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what disciplinary action is to he taken against Royal Ulster Constabulary officers subject to inquiries into allegations made by Mr. Chan Hok-Chun and Mr. Hui Yat-Chi; and if he will make a statement.

I understand, that the RUC's investigation is not completed and that no decision has so far been taken.
