Mrs. Currie

In 1987–88 the West Midlands regional health authority received an initial revenue cash limit of £1,114.4 million. Subsequent additions were made as follows:

£ million
Following the Government's acceptance of the review body recommendations 26.6
From the waiting list fund 2.9
For breast cancer screening 0.2
Following my right hon. Friend, the Minister for Health's announcement of additional funding for 1987–88 on 16 December 6.7

Outturn figures for 1987–88 will not be available until later this year. The region's initial revenue cash limit for 1988–89 is £1,213.8 million. Allocations to the Bromsgrove and Redditch and Worcester district health authorities are a matter for the West Midlands regional health authority.
