§ Mr. SalmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will indicate, by grade and the department within his Department they joined, the backgrounds of administrative grade civil servants who have entered his Department from other Government Departments for each year over the last decade.

However, in the current financial year, payments to firms in the Angus district under the original and revised regional development grant schemes have to date totalled some £500,000. There have been no payments of regional selective assistance (RSA). Approvals under the revised regional development grant scheme in the period April 1987 to January 1988 have amounted to £400,000, associated with project costs of £800,000 and the creation of 130 jobs. Details of the offers of RSA cannot be disclosed for reasons of confidentiality.
