HC Deb 01 February 1988 vol 126 cc493-4W
Ms. Richardson

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations his Department has received from organisations and individuals concerning the consequences for the general health service of resettling homeless persons outside their own borough; and what response has been made to those representations.

Mrs. Currie

[holding answer 3 December 1987]: We have been unable to trace any representations about resettling homeless persons outside their own borough but the Association of Metropolitan Authorities has written about homelessness in London. The association has asked for a meeting and I have arranged to see them, together with appropriate health authority representatives.
