Mr. Cartwright

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the bids made by the London borough of Greenwich for assistance under the Estate Action programme during 1988–89, indicating when he expects to make a decision on each.

The London borough of Greenwich has submitted nine bids for Estate Action resources in 1988–89:

Local authorities have been requested to submit outline bids by the end of January and we will tell them as soon as possible which bids we should like them to work up more fully. Approvals and additional allocations will follow as soon as councils can give us firm information on costs, phasing and other elements of their schemes.
