To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will give, as a proportion of spent Magnox fuel deriving from United Kingdom electricity board reactors reprocessed in the period 15 December 1986 to 15 December 1987, the amounts reprocessed in each year from 1980 to 1985.

For the tonnages of civil spent fuel reprocessed, I refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my hon. Friend the Member for Eddisbury (Mr. Goodlad) to the hon. Member for Islington, South and Finsbury (Mr. Smith) on 11 December 1985 at columns638 and 639. 705 tonnes uranium (te u) were reprocessed in 1985–86.
