To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a further statement on the progress of the Trident programme.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when the next review of the Trident programme is likely to take place.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence will announce a revised estimate of the cost of Trident early next year, and at the same time submit a report on the progress of the programme to the Defence Committee. A copy of this report will be placed in the Library of the House.
