§ Mr. ChannonI have today appointed Mr. Wilfrid Newton, at present chairman of the Hong Kong mass transit railway, to serve as chairman of London Regional Transport for a period of five years from 13 March 1989. I am grateful to Sir Neil Shields for serving as chairman of LRT in the interim.
