§ Mr. TrippierWe took steps in the Housing Act 1988 to give statutory backing for a code of practice on rented housing, to be prepared by the Commission for Racial Equality. In the same Act, we extended the duty to eliminate racial discrimination and to promote equality of opportunity to the Housing Corporation and to our proposed housing action trusts.
