§ Mr. LangSeasonally adjusted unemployment in Scotland currently stands at 10.8 per cent. of the work force compared with 12.6 per cent. in August 1984. Since January 1987 seasonally adjusted unemployment in Scotland has fallen by nearly 74,000 and is now at its lowest level for seven years.
§ 32. Mr. OppenheimTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the current level of unemployment in Scotland; and what was the figure in 1979.
§ Mr. LangSeasonally adjusted unemployment in Scotland in November 1988 was 266,900; the corresponding figure for November 1979 was 140,600.
